JUNCTION CITY, Ore. -- With gas prices skyrocketing, drivers are looking to get away from the pump.
On Wednesday, a Junction City dealership showed off one option: The first all-electric car on its lot.
Guaranty Chevrolet is claiming bragging rights as it was able to get one of the first Chevy Volts.
Managers say it's the first electric car on at a dealership in the entire Willamette Valley region.
They've opened up a waiting list for the car, but so far this one is only for test driving.
That's because they say Oregon is not actually authorized to sell the Volt until August.
There are plans in the works for charging stations all along I-5 and in Eugene.
"It has its own social calendar just to make sure that it's here so when the people come they can drive it," said Bob Smith, Guaranty Chevrolet.
Chevrolet Guaranty said it wanted to offer up the car for test drives in the meantime.
